Where do you start when trying to talk about Jimmy Douglass, The Senator.

Multiple Grammy Award winner Jimmy Douglass is the most rare of creative people. With unmatched experience across the genres, Jimmy has been making records sound exciting for years.  There aren’t many that can boast the diversity of his discography and he feels equally at home with organic musician driven music as he does in the world of hip-hop that he now dominates.

Jimmy started his career at the legendary Atlantic Studios in New York and was trained by as well as worked with some of the greatest engineers, producers and record moguls including Tom Dowd, Arif Mardin, Jerry Wexler and Ahmet Ertegun.  There he worked with great Atlantic Recording artists such as Aretha Franklin, Hall & Oates, Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, Foreigner, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC to name a few.  In the 1980's, Jimmy continued to hone his engineering skills while also taking on his role as producer.  He engineered and produced established artists including The Rolling Stones, Slave, Odyssey, Roxy Music and Gang of Four.

In the mid-90's, Jimmy began working with up and coming contemporary R&B/hip hop producer Timbaland and served as his main engineer for more than a decade.  They would eventually collaborate on classic projects from artists such as Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, Ginuwine and Jay-Z

To try and list all of the ground breaking artists that Jimmy has worked with would take more space than we have here, I think you get the picture.  But it would be amiss not to mention the two Grammy Award winning records that Jimmy did with Justin Timberlake, after all, who else can boast to have worked on classic Stones and Sexy Back?  Special mention has to me made to the John Legend & The Roots album "Wake Up" as well as many tracks with Kanye West, and The Neptunes amongst others.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.
